The Olisa of Ibeshe Kingdom, High Chief Jamiu Adeshina, led members of the traditional institution in rallying support for the APC candidates, with a call for sustained community engagement and mobilisation across the kingdom.

Speaking at the engagement, Adeshina first commended the leadership of Oba Richard Abayomi. He said the meeting was aimed at strengthening political awareness and community participation ahead of the 2027 elections, urging traditional leaders and stakeholders to take the message to their respective communities.

According to him, “We have gathered here because we understand the importance of the 2027 election and the need for our people to participate actively in the political process. We must mobilise our communities and ensure that our people understand the importance of supporting continuity and good governance.”

The Olisa further called for unity among traditional leaders and residents of Ibeshe, stressing the importance of a coordinated approach to community engagement.

“Our message must reach every household. We will continue to engage our people peacefully and responsibly, while encouraging them to support President Tinubu, Dr Hamzat and other APC candidates,” he said.

Adeshina also expressed confidence in the ability of the APC candidates to deliver on their promises, urging stakeholders to remain committed to sustained engagement with residents across the kingdom.

“We are determined to work together as a people. Our mobilisation will be comprehensive, and we will continue to engage our communities until the election. We believe that with unity and commitment, victory is achievable,” he said.

Other traditional leaders who participated in the engagement included the Odofin of Ibeshe, High Chief Joshua Alade; Chief Rasheed Ishola, Head of Eluku in Ibeshe Kingdom; the Apena of Ibeshe, Chief Ganiyu Alade; the Onisemo and Asiwaju Eluku of Ibeshe, Chief Seyi Ridwan; the Alagbo of Ibeshe, Kadijah Bakare; and the Onise of Ibeshe, Chief Bakare Bashiru.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the traditional leaders and stakeholders to discuss community mobilisation and participation in the 2027 electoral process.
