The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that the ruling party will convert its organisational strength into victory in the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda made the statement on Thursday when he received members of the House of Representatives Aspirants Forum for Tinubu/Shettima 2027.

According to Punch Newspapers, the APC chairman disclosed that the party had more than 261,000 executive committee members nationwide, alongside governors, ministers, local government chairmen and councillors.

He said the party was committed to giving members opportunities regardless of their age, gender, educational background, religion, ethnicity or disability.

“Our party thrives on inclusion, and that’s what we’ve been trying to build and preach,” Yilwatda said.

He also urged party members to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term, describing the President as a credible candidate for the 2027 election.

The APC chairman cited infrastructure projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and rail connections, as part of the administration’s development efforts.

Yilwatda also defended the Federal Government’s student loan scheme, saying the monthly upkeep allowance of ₦20,000 was helping students from vulnerable backgrounds.

He urged members of the aspirants’ forum to work with the party’s grassroots structures as preparations for the election continue.

The APC’s campaign strategy will now depend on how effectively the party mobilises its members and communicates its record to voters ahead of the 2027 polls.
