ABEOKUTA — The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ogun State says it is targeting at least two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The target was disclosed by the APC governorship candidate in the state, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, during the party’s mobilisation activities ahead of the election.

The report was published by The PUNCH on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

Adeola said the party would intensify its grassroots mobilisation across the state to secure strong support for Tinubu in the presidential election.

The Ogun APC candidate’s projection comes as political parties begin preparations for the 2027 general elections, with voter mobilisation expected to play a major role in the campaigns.

Ogun State is considered politically significant because of its proximity to Lagos and its large voting population.

The APC has continued to rely on its structures at the ward, local government and state levels as it prepares for the next election cycle.

The party is also expected to intensify its engagement with voters and political stakeholders across the state as the 2027 elections draw closer.

Adeola’s statement represents the APC’s projected electoral target in Ogun State. The actual number of votes the party receives will depend on voter turnout and the outcome of the election.

The 2027 presidential election is expected to feature competition among several political parties seeking to secure the support of Nigerian voters.
