The legal team representing Big Brother Naija star Sheggz has responded to claims made by Bella’s lawyers, presenting financial records which it says counter some of the allegations against their client.
According to the legal response, an audit of Sheggz’s UK bank account showed that approximately £220,000 of his personal funds was spent in the United Kingdom during the course of his relationship with Bella.
The lawyers also maintained that Sheggz was the principal provider throughout the relationship, while acknowledging that Bella earned her own income and made financial contributions.
The legal team further claimed that Sheggz rented a house for Bella for about two months after she left the Big Brother house, at an alleged cost of approximately ₦3.5 million per month, bringing the total to about ₦7 million.
According to the response, Bella later rented a property in Ikate, Lekki, but eventually gave up the apartment and moved in with Sheggz in Ikoyi.
The lawyers said Sheggz subsequently assumed responsibility for Bella’s expenses while they lived together.
The financial records were reportedly presented as part of the legal team’s response to allegations and claims made by Bella’s lawyers regarding the couple’s financial arrangements during their relationship.
