Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening economic growth and ensuring inclusive development across all sectors.
Hamzat made this known while representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the official launch of the 3rd Lagos Economic Development Update (LEDU) 2026.
The Deputy Governor noted that the theme of the event, “Consolidating Resilience, Advancing Competitiveness, Delivering Shared Prosperity,” reflects both the progress made and the strategic direction of the state’s economic agenda.
“It was a good session with stakeholders, focused on how we strengthen our economy and ensure growth is felt across all sectors,” Hamzat said.
He emphasised that the discussions at the forum centred on practical pathways to deepen economic resilience, boost competitiveness, and ensure that the benefits of growth are widely shared among residents.
The LEDU 2026 launch brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, providing a platform for dialogue on policies and initiatives aimed at sustaining Lagos State’s economic trajectory and improving the overall wellbeing of its citizens.
