The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, has begun a series of consultations with members of the Governance Advisory Council, describing the engagement as a critical step toward shaping the state’s future leadership and development.
Hamzat made this known in a statement on Monday, where he highlighted the importance of dialogue and collective input in charting a sustainable path for Lagos.
“Today, I commenced consultations with esteemed members of the Governance Advisory Council. We engaged in sincere and insightful discussions on the future of Lagos and the leadership it demands,” he said.
He further noted that the consultations are anchored on inclusiveness and collaboration, stressing the value of experience shared by council members.
“I deeply value the wealth of experience and guidance shared. This process is rooted in listening, learning, and collaborating to build a stronger and more prosperous Lagos,” Hamzat added.
The move comes amid ongoing political consultations and heightened stakeholder engagements across the state, as discussions around future leadership continue to gain momentum.
