The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a revision to the timetable for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), just days before the commencement of the exercise across the country.

In a statement shared via its official X handle, the Board said the adjustment affects the daily structure of Computer-Based Test (CBT) sessions at accredited examination centres nationwide.

Four-session structure retained

According to the revised schedule, candidates will continue to sit for four examination sessions daily from Monday to Thursday. The sessions are scheduled as follows:

Session 1: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Session 2: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Session 3: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Session 4: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Candidates are expected to arrive earlier than their scheduled exam times for screening and verification, in line with JAMB’s operational guidelines.

Friday session adjustments

JAMB noted that Friday’s timetable remains similar to other days but includes a reserved slot for Session 3, while Session 4 will run as scheduled. The Board advised candidates to confirm their individual examination schedules to avoid confusion.

Board urges strict compliance

The examination body stressed the importance of punctuality and strict adherence to instructions throughout the examination period, warning that violations could affect candidates’ participation.

JAMB also reiterated its commitment to maintaining order and transparency during the 2026 UTME, which is set to begin this week at approved CBT centres nationwide.
