Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested two suspected drug kingpins in Lagos with consignments of cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine.
The suspects, identified as Victor Nwosa, 64, and Felix Chika Obiegbu, 49, were picked up in separate operations by the agency’s Special Operations Unit (SOU) after weeks of intelligence and surveillance.
Nwosa, who posed as a textile merchant, was arrested on September 17, 2025, at his residence on Femi Kila Street, Okota, where operatives recovered 4.33 kilograms of heroin and 448 grams of cocaine.

Obiegbu, described as a businessman in the wine distribution trade, was arrested on September 11, 2025, at his home on Shada Shonefun Street, Aguda, Surulere. A search of his residence led to the seizure of 2.902 kilograms of methamphetamine.
In another Lagos operation, NDLEA officers seized 85,100 pills of tramadol and other opioids from three suspects — Dauda Abubakar, Abdullahi Umar, and Ismaila Muhammed — in the Apapa area on September 22, 2025.

The agency also took its War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign to schools in Lagos, including Solomon Primary School, Oko Balogun, Epe, where students and teachers were sensitized on the dangers of drug abuse.

NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), commended the Lagos Command for the successful operations, noting that each seizure was a major step towards dismantling criminal drug networks and safeguarding Nigerian youths from illicit substances.
