The Federal Government of Nigeria has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cisco Networking Academy under the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) to expand access to digital skills training for young Nigerians.

Under the partnership, up to 50,000 NJFP fellows and alumni will gain free, rolling access to Cisco Networking Academy courses designed to equip them with future-ready digital skills and improve their employability.

The initiative is expected to provide beneficiaries with opportunities to develop competencies in networking and other areas of digital technology, strengthening their capacity to pursue careers in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.

The partnership was described as another milestone in efforts to promote youth empowerment and create pathways to employment and career development for young Nigerians.

The NJFP is a flagship Federal Government youth employment initiative funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The partners also acknowledged the continued leadership of the Office of the Vice President in advancing youth employability and facilitating partnerships aimed at expanding opportunities for young Nigerians.

The collaboration is expected to support the broader objective of transforming the skills and aspirations of young Nigerians into sustainable career opportunities.
