Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have intensified ongoing offensives against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in the North-East, recording notable successes in recent operations. The coordinated efforts, carried out between March 31 and April 4, 2026, led to the neutralisation of insurgents, arrests of collaborators, and disruption of key supply chains sustaining terrorist activities.

The Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, disclosed that troops under Sector 2, working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), engaged suspected terrorist logistics suppliers near Geidam after acting on credible intelligence. “Three terrorists were neutralised during the encounter, while a vehicle loaded with logistics was disabled. Items recovered included food supplies, mobile phones, and other materials meant for insurgent camps,” he said.

In a related development, troops ambushed terrorists attempting to plant Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) along the Konduga–Kawuri axis. According to Uba, “the insurgents were met with overwhelming firepower, resulting in an explosion that neutralised two of them, while arms and ammunition were recovered.” He added that another IED planted along the Ngoshe–Pulka road was successfully detected and detonated, preventing possible loss of lives.

Operations in Adamawa State also yielded results, as troops under Sector 4, in collaboration with local hunters, arrested three suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP members in Mubi North Local Government Area. “Preliminary findings indicate that one of the suspects had been involved in gathering intelligence on troop movements and participated in recent attacks,” Uba revealed, noting that all suspects remain in custody.

Further breakthroughs were recorded in Mainok market, where troops apprehended three logistics suppliers and recovered livestock, cash, and communication devices. In Yobe State, a vehicle conveying suspected insurgents was intercepted, with two occupants found to have gunshot wounds from previous engagements. Additional arrests included informants, collaborators, and a foreign national intercepted at a checkpoint.

The military high command commended the troops for their commitment and professionalism. Uba stated, “Troops have sustained aggressive operations across the theatre, effectively restricting the activities of criminal elements while maintaining high morale and combat readiness,” urging continued momentum in securing the North-East.
