The Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, has confirmed the arrest of several suspected hoodlums following reports of unrest in the Lekki area of Lagos.
Wahab disclosed that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police ordered a swift investigation after videos of the incident surfaced online. According to him, a sting operation was subsequently carried out around the Chisco and Osakpa bus stop axis.
The operation led to the identification and arrest of a number of suspects linked to the disturbance.
He added that the Commissioner of Police has assured residents that the safety of lives and property remains a top priority, urging law-abiding citizens to go about their daily activities without fear.
