The Deputy Director-General of the PBAT-KOH Campaign Council in Lagos State, Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala, has commended the Owode Onirin Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association for declaring its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Lagos State governorship ambition of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ajala spoke on Thursday at the Lagos State APC Campaign Secretariat in Ikeja GRA, where he received a donation of campaign materials from the association on behalf of the PBAT-KOH campaign.
The donated items included a branded campaign vehicle, campaign posters, T-shirts, caps, banners and other souvenirs to support the campaign activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

Speaking at the event, Ajala described the gesture as a significant demonstration of confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and Dr. Hamzat, assuring the association that its support would further strengthen the campaign at the grassroots.
He particularly commended the association for not only making a material contribution but also mobilising its members to participate actively in the electoral process.
According to him, the association’s decision to support the APC candidates reflects growing confidence in the administration of President Tinubu and the development agenda being championed in Lagos State.

Ajala also acknowledged the economic difficulties being experienced by Nigerians, describing them as part of the pains associated with the far-reaching reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration.
He, however, maintained that the reforms were necessary to reposition the economy and create a stronger foundation for sustainable growth.
“The current economic hardship is the aftermath of the economic reforms by Mr President. We are all feeling the pain emanating from these reforms, while the hardships from the previous administration are also a result of the corruption that characterised those administrations.
“We have to endure because Asiwaju has a good plan for us all,” he said.
On infrastructure, Ajala highlighted the Lagos-Sokoto road project, stressing its potential to drastically reduce travel time and stimulate economic activities across the country.

He said, “Today, Lagos to Sokoto journey will last for 72 hours, that is three days. But with the ongoing project by Mr President, the journey will only last for six hours after the completion of the project.”
The Deputy Director-General said the economic implications of such infrastructure development were enormous, noting that improved road connectivity would reduce fuel consumption, create employment opportunities and empower more young people.
He also noted that infrastructure development along major routes could revive abandoned settlements and create new economic opportunities for communities.
Ajala urged members of the association to leverage their numerical strength by mobilising their members and supporting APC candidates at the polling units.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Owode Onirin Motor Spare Parts Dealers Association, Alhaji Alowonle Ahmed, reaffirmed the association’s support for the APC in the 2027 elections.

He said, “We, the motor spare parts dealers, are here today to declare our support for all APC candidates in the state, most especially our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.”
He added that the association was reinforcing its commitment through the donation of a vehicle, posters, shirts, caps and other valuable materials to support the campaign.
Also speaking, Alhaji Isiaka Abdullahi Oriowo urged members of the association to ensure that every member casts a vote for APC candidates during the elections.
The association’s delegation also highlighted the economic significance of ongoing infrastructure projects, particularly the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, saying improved connectivity would enhance trade, reduce transportation challenges and open up opportunities for businesses and young Nigerians.
Ajala thanked the association for its confidence and support, assuring its members that their contribution would be deployed toward strengthening grassroots mobilisation for the APC campaign in Lagos State.
