The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has launched an online registration portal for support groups ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The initiative is designed to help the campaign identify, verify and coordinate groups working to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
According to a report by P.M. News, Silas Agara, director of the Support Groups Mobilisation Directorate, said the portal would enable the campaign to assess the reach and activities of participating organisations and improve coordination across the country.
Registration reportedly opened on October 17 and is scheduled to close on October 22.
Agara said the campaign intended to communicate the administration’s record while engaging with issues raised by Nigerians.
The registration exercise is part of preparations to organise supporters and build a more structured mobilisation network before the 2027 election.
For the APC, the portal could provide a central mechanism for identifying active support groups and coordinating their activities across different states and communities.
The campaign will nevertheless face the task of translating organisational activity into broader voter support, particularly as political parties prepare to present their records, policy proposals and candidates to the electorate.
The 2027 general election is expected to generate increased political activity as parties strengthen their structures and begin engaging voters ahead of the polls.
