Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has unveiled OgunLEARN, a digital education platform aimed at enhancing learning outcomes and expanding access to quality education across the state.
The governor described the initiative as a significant step in Ogun State’s digital education journey, stressing that education must transcend traditional classroom boundaries to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving world.
“We are committed to ensuring that every child in Ogun State has access to quality and inclusive education,” Abiodun said. “OgunLEARN delivers curriculum-aligned content, empowers teachers, supports self-paced learning, and fosters creativity and critical thinking.”
He said the launch aligns with broader reforms in the education sector, including full digitalisation, teacher training, improved EMIS, rehabilitation of schools, upgraded laboratories, and the transformation of technical colleges.
Governor Abiodun further disclosed that the state has introduced Artificial Intelligence education as part of its long-term socio-economic strategy, noting that initiatives such as Ogun Skills Fund, OgunEduCASH, OgunSchoLAR, OgunREHAB, OgunTEACh, and OgunDiPER are collectively equipping learners with skills to innovate locally and compete on the global stage.
