Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji, OON, member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has distributed free educational materials to pupils as part of the 5th edition of his Back-To-School Support Initiative.
The event, held on Thursday at Fagba Junior Grammar School, Ifako-Ijaiye, drew hundreds of pupils, parents, teachers, community leaders, and stakeholders.
Items handed out included 500 school bags, 6,000 exercise books, 1,000 writing materials, 500 mathematical sets, 1,000 pairs of socks, and 500 water bottles — all aimed at easing the financial burden on parents while motivating children to excel academically.

Speaking at the programme, Hon. Temitope emphasized that education remains one of his top priorities as a lawmaker, describing it as the “bedrock of human and societal development.”
He assured students that consistent academic excellence would qualify them for free GCE and JAMB forms under his Adewale Temitope Adedeji Educational Initiative (ATA-EI), as well as scholarship opportunities.
He further pledged that the initiative would be sustained annually and expanded to reach more children across the constituency. He also urged parents to prioritize their children’s education while cautioning students against cultism, thuggery, and other social vices.

Through the ATA-EI, Hon. Temitope has so far awarded over 120 scholarships to tertiary students, distributed more than 5,000 free JAMB forms and 1,300 GCE forms, alongside other educational interventions in Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 01.
