At least 10 people have lost their lives in a fatal accident along the Ibeju-Epe Expressway in Lagos State.

Eyewitnesses say the crash occurred when a speeding truck rammed into another moving vehicle, crushing passengers onboard. The impact was devastating, leaving several victims dead on the spot while others sustained life-threatening injuries.

According to SaharaReporters, a disturbing video shows bloodied bodies sprawled across the highway as survivors cried out in pain.

Distraught passersby could be heard wailing as they made desperate attempts to rescue the injured before emergency officials arrived.

As of the time of filing this report, rescue workers were yet to reach the scene, leaving road users to carry out frantic rescue efforts.

Fatal crashes have become a recurring tragedy on Lagos highways, with reckless driving, speeding, and inadequate road safety enforcement frequently cited as causes of the alarming death toll.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement on the latest Ibeju-Epe accident.
