The Federal Ministry of Education has officially deployed the Digital National Education Management Information System (DNEMIS), a nationwide digital platform designed to centralize data on schools, students, and academic infrastructure.

According to official figures released by the ministry, the platform aims to integrate data covering over 40 million learners and 1.19 million teachers across basic, secondary, and tertiary institutions.

The central repository replaces fragmented data collection methods previously managed independently by various agencies.

Education authorities confirmed that DNEMIS will feature a live Learner Registry, Annual School Census tracking, and emergency safety monitoring dashboards.

The system enables real-time updates to identify localized teacher shortages, monitor facility deficits, and streamline resource distribution. While implementation is currently underway across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, government representatives emphasized that full operational success will rely on consistent data uploads from local school administrators nationwide.
