A Nigerian man, Daniel Undiandeye, has announced the end of his 11-year marriage, alleging that his wife repeatedly attacked him with weapons and sharp objects and attempted to injure his sexual organ.
Undiandeye made the disclosure in a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in which he described the development as painful.
According to him, his wife, whom he married in 2015, allegedly attacked him with weapons including axes and knives and also scratched his legs, claiming that she had been influenced by members of his family who were opposed to his progress.
He further alleged that his wife confessed to joining what he described as an “evil coven” after earlier alleged attempts by some members of his family to harm him failed.
Undiandeye also accused his wife of taking him to court over what he described as an unjust course and of locking him outside at night when he visited her village in Ukparibu, Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State.
He said he had yet to meet with the newly elected Obudu District Superintendent, Rev. Emmanuel Achu, and other Presbyterian Church officials, who he said would oversee the formal divorce process.
The announcement was accompanied by photographs of Undiandeye and his wife dressed in traditional wedding attire.
Despite the breakdown of the marriage, Undiandeye said he had no regrets because the union was blessed with children.

He explained that his decision to make the matter public was not intended to generate social media propaganda or provoke debate, but to inform members of the public that they should no longer regard the woman as his wife.
He said the decision would enable him to focus on his life and political ambitions, particularly as the 2027 political season approaches.
The allegations made by Undiandeye could not be independently verified as of the time of filing this report, and there was no response from his wife to the allegations contained in his social media post.
