A 12-year-old girl identified as Oreoluwa is appealing to well-wishers for urgent medical assistance after being diagnosed with a painful mouth tumour and losing the only close caregiver she had.

Demi Care Foundation, which shared Oreoluwa’s story, says the girl has suffered recurring mouth sores since last year that refused to heal. Her grandmother was the child’s primary carer and accompanied her to every clinic appointment and to prayers, but the grandmother suddenly fell ill and died from complications of high blood pressure after returning from a vigil.

Since the loss, Oreoluwa has largely missed clinic visits and has struggled to cope with mounting medical needs.

According to Demi Care Foundation, Oreoluwa currently cannot sleep or eat because of excruciating pain in her mouth and can only take liquids.

She requires a series of diagnostic tests including scans and MRI, followed by surgery and radiotherapy. The foundation estimates the total cost of treatment at ₦2,000,000.

In an emotional appeal recorded by the foundation, Oreoluwa begged Nigerians for help: “Hello, Nigerians. Please help me. I’m going through pain. I have a tumor in my mouth. Please help me. I wanted to speak and the doctor said that even that’s going to be complicated and I can’t survive it. I’m so four years old. Please help me. I’m going through a lot of pain. I can’t sleep. I can’t eat. Please help me. Please. I don’t want to die. Please help me.”

Demi Care Foundation urged members of the public to donate and provided the following bank details for contributions:

Zenith Bank
Account Number: 1015283570
Account Name: Demi Care Foundation
Narration: Oreoluwa

The foundation said every contribution—no matter the size—will help cover urgent tests, scans, surgery and radiotherapy for Oreoluwa. For more information or to confirm donations, readers are encouraged to contact Demi Care Foundation through their usual channels.
