The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to technology-driven intelligence gathering following an inspection of advanced security installations at Idu Community in Abuja on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
The inspection, conducted alongside top-ranking officers including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo (Force Intelligence Department), DIG Adebowale Williams (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Operations), and CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations), underscored the Force’s collaboration with EIB STRATOC, a leading indigenous security solutions provider.
Highlighting the central role of intelligence in contemporary policing, Egbetokun stressed that his administration is prioritising innovation, partnerships, and modern technology to safeguard citizens and address emerging security threats.
“Effective policing in the 21st century must be anchored on intelligence. The Nigeria Police is determined to harness both local and international expertise to build a resilient security architecture and reinforce public trust,” the IGP said.
He praised EIB STRATOC’s contributions and called on other stakeholders to work closely with security agencies in advancing intelligence-led operations across the country.
According to him, the initiative not only strengthens the Police Force’s operational readiness but also fosters greater synergy between law enforcement and key players in Nigeria’s security sector.
