Troops of the Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have arrested suspected Boko Haram collaborators and neutralised insurgents during coordinated operations across Adamawa and Borno states.
In a statement issued on February 19, 2026, the Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, said troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade apprehended a 28-year-old terrorist logistics supplier, Ismail Muhammed, in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.
According to him, items recovered from the suspect included “one AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements and assorted foodstuffs,” adding that the suspect is currently in custody undergoing further investigation.
In a separate operation in Madagali Local Government Area, troops neutralised a terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa during an ambush along the Visik River line. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the scene.
Uba further disclosed that troops, acting on credible intelligence, arrested a 64-year-old suspected terrorist collaborator and drone supplier, Dauda Usman Gubula, at Madagali Motor Park. “The suspect was responsible for supplying drones to the terrorists, which were locally weaponised and used against troops,” he said. Items recovered included two aerial drones, drone accessories and 20 solar power banks.
Elsewhere in Sector 2, troops working alongside local vigilantes and the Civilian Joint Task Force repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu, Borno State, and neutralised a suspected terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions. Logistic items were also recovered during the operation.
The military high command commended the troops for their dedication and sacrifices in the ongoing fight against insurgency, urging them to sustain the operational tempo to dismantle terrorist supply networks and restore security across the North-East.
